| This addresses the approved equals. RIPTA is seeking bids for accessible taxicabs that accommodate four ambulatory passengers and one wheelchair. These cabs will be operated by taxi companies to meet the intent of FTA’s New Freedom Program which seeks to reduce transportation barriers and expand mobility options for people with disabilities beyond ADA requirements.
